Fiona Ní Mhaoilir a visual artist who lives and works in Belfast. Her art practice and research are concerned with systems of control within cultural production on the island of Ireland and further afield. She is a former co-director and studio member of various artist run initiatives and studios in Belfast; and is currently a member of Belfast Print Workshop. She has exhibited nationally and internationally. Her work is held in both public and private collections in Ireland, UK, Spain, and USA. Over the past four years Fiona has been making a multidisciplinary body of work, some of which is about her walks and cycles in Belfast and more particularly the river Lagan.
