It is the 'between' I am interested in: the interstices of things as areas of anticipation. I endeavour to focus on the margins where things are on the brink of happening, be it joining or separating. My creative process is intuitive and organic, drawing on the psychological, emotional and physical. Procedural interaction with my chosen materials, along with repetition, chance and process uncover the strategies that create my visual language. I like to allow the materials behaviour to inform my next move; the process being part of the work as well as being prior to it. The strategies allow something to be revealed, like a secret.
