Linocut with Jonathan Brennan - SOLD OUT
Join artist/printmaker Jonathan Brennan for this one-day introduction to linocut where you will learn how to choose images suitable for linocut, work in negative and reverse, transfer your image, as well as how to carve, ink and print it using a spoon as well as the workshop’s 19th century relief press. Jonathan will provide information on all equipment used and tips on how to continue carving and printing linocuts at home. Participants are asked to bring two or three suitably sized images which they will carve in order to make a linocut print. Bold, black and white images or marker drawings work well, nothing too detailed.
Our class sizes are limited and only payment secures your place - if online booking is not for you please don't worry - you can still book and pay for classes by cash or cheque in person at the workshop, contact us prior to visiting, by email to: [email protected] or telephone 02890 231 323.
