Photopolymer Intaglio is a printmaking process used by artists to produce high quality original prints. Prints can be created using photographic imagery, digital imagery and hand drawn artwork to create permanent artworks using high quality light-fast inks and archival paper. The process is open to experimentation and once there is a grasp of the techniques involved there is the opportunity to explore this printmaking technique. The process will follow the foundations set by the traditional plate preparation processes and will also involve the traditional methods of inking up the plate. With the additional benefit of acquiring skills in image preparation, lamination, u.v. exposure and producing a series of original prints.
