Privacy statement

Belfast Print Workshop is a professional printmakers studio with charitable status. We offer a variety of services to our artist members and the public including events, workshops, information signposting, print sales and commissions. We do not sell, rent or trade member’s or customers data with other businesses, individuals or organisations and make every effort to ensure that any personal information you share with us kept safe and secure. This privacy policy provides more detail on when and why we collect personal information, how we use it and the limited conditions under which we may disclose it and how we keep it secure.

As part of the registration process for our  e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our administrator at [email protected].

When you purchase a tickets or products through the BPW website your name, address data, email and contact number is requested and stored in Stripe, our online payments processor. We do not collect this information and you will not be auto-enrolled in any marketing list. If you make a purchase at our studio we will still collect some data in hard copy for our sales records. This is securely filed and destroyed after 7 years. Please be assured that we do not share your personal details with any other company.

Occasionally, we may share anonymised personal information with funding organisations, for example, Arts Council NI, Belfast City Council - who use this to understand the impact of the public investment given to BPW.  We will not share sensitive information or your payment details.
