Intro to Printmaking

This course is suitable for complete beginners or people who have done some printmaking before but want a refresher.
You don’t need to have any previous experience as the tutor will guide you through each process in a step-by-step way.
All the processes lend themselves well to simple image making using pattern as well as representational images, so don’t be put off if you don’t feel confident with drawing.
This taster course in printmaking will introduce you to some of the processes you can access at Belfast Print Workshop and give you the basic skills to continue using them after the course.
Just bring your ideas of what you would like to make images from!
You will learn each of the following processes in a supportive environment with all  step by step guidance, equipment and materials provided. You will be given an information sheet on each process for your own reference.
Monoprinting - using oil based relief printing inks you will produce one-off multi-color prints working with paper stencils and our presses.
