Linen Biennale ‘23: Programme Launch

Linen Biennale N. Ireland invites you to the 2023 Programme Launch

Get ready for an exciting event as the Linen Biennale 2023 kicks off this Friday! We're just days away from the grand opening, and it's going to be a remarkable occasion. Notably, there will be not one, but TWO exhibitions taking place within minutes of each other in Lisburn on July 28th.

First up is Jill Phillips' captivating work, "CONNECTED EMOTIONS," a pilot study that delves into the relationship between feelings and design, exploring Pockets and Sleeves. You can catch this exhibition at R-Space, starting from Friday and running throughout the entire month of August.

Next, don't miss the "COMMON THREADS" group show, featuring 13 talented artists who have taken inspiration from linen, incorporating it as a story, medium, or substrate. This exhibition will be held at the Island Arts Centre, opening on Friday and also running throughout August.

Friday 28 July, 2023

3-5pm at Island Arts Centre

“Common threads” group show

5-8pm at R-Space Gallery

“Connected Emotions” Jill Philips

So, if you're in Lisburn during this time, be sure to visit both exhibitions and immerse yourself in the world of art and linen!

The Linen Biennale has been made possible by funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund Northern Ireland.
